Q: does the charger have to be wall mounted.
A: How do I charge the battery if I don’t want to use the wall mount
A: No, it has an auto-trigger switch that keeps it held down for you. Kind of like at the gas pump. First I've ever seen in a vacuum.
Q: Can this vacuum be used on laminate flooring or will the floor be scratched?
A: There should be no negative consequences for any laminate floor in normal use - the Tineco moves smoothly over floors. There are small rollers or wheels to lift the floor attachment slightly and enhance movement. The Tineco is built with floor use in mind, and in that regard it is more robust than the Dyson I used prior to finding this vacuum, which I feel suits my needs much better. There is little effort needed to glide the device over surfaces and little opportunity to scratch a floor.
Q: Is the length adjustable? What is the minimum length?
A: The tube does not telescope or have any option but in place or not. There is no in between, just one option for length when using the floor attachment. When in place, the tube accounts for about 26 1/2 inches of length with the floor attachment adding another 6-7 inches. The motor/battery unit is about 13 inches and the shortest attachment is about 6 inches, so shortest length is 13+6 or 19 inches, but the shortest the unit gets with the floor attachment is 13+26 1/2+6 1/2 or 46 inches.
Q: What accessories does this model come with? And is the pure one a 450 watt?
A: Lita, those are great questions! The PureOne S11 has a powerful 450W motor and comes with the following accessories: 2 Pre-Filters, 2-in-1 Dusting Brush, Automatic Pre-Filter Cleaning Tool, Crevice Tool, Full-size LED Multi-Tasker Power Brush, Mini Power Brush, Removable Lithium Ion Battery, and Wall Mounted Charging Dock. A: The Tineco S11 requires a wall mount that will require a space about 18” wide and 60” high. The space will need to be within a few feet of an electrical outlet.
A: You can buy that separately or order a "Tango" version of the vacuum which includes both multifunction and smooth roller.
