Q:Â QuestionDo i need to have I-Phone/Homekit for this smart plug to work? or it can work with any phone?(5 answers)
A:Â AnswerYou need to install the KASA App anyway to activate the plug. As long you're using the KASA App and nothing else, you can control the plug from any device that has the KASA App installed by using the app.Answered by Atlantaner
Q:Â QuestionDoes this work with 5 ghz modem? Cannot switch to 2 ghz(3 answers)
A: AnswerNo they only operate on the 2.4ghz band unfortunately. If your router combines the 2.4 & 5 ghz bands you’ll have trouble connecting to them. If your router is capable of doing so you’ll want to separate the bands so that they show as two separate Wi-Fi connections. Then connect to the 2.4ghz Wi-Fi and set up your smart device.Answered by NS503
Q:Â Questioncan you dim lights with it?(2 answers)
A: AnswerThe Kasa is an on/off Alexa and Google home smart plug. It does NOT allow for dimming a light. Choose an LED smart blub A19 - for smart use and dimming with Alexa and Google home. They are less expensive per unit and you do not need the plug. You can just use the smart bulb. There are several bulbs to pick from. The one reason to buy the Kasa is to use less expensive bulbs. But, again, no dimming with that option with the Kasa. I started with Kasa’s for lights and have switched to the GE A19 lED Smart bulbs in order to dim my lights. Good luck.Answered by BostonSteve
- A:Â AnswerYes, the switch state appears to be maintained after a power cycle (i.e. if on before stays on after, and vice versa). Tested by leaving the module unplugged for 5 minutes before reconnecting (results might be different with a longer power outage or loss of internet/WiFi connection).

- A:Â AnswerUse the strip but I wouldn't put a heavy electrical load on the strip such as anything used to heat things, like a small room heater, or an air-conditioner.

- A:Â AnswerAs far as I can see the farthest out is a week in both the Kasa App as well as the Home app. You might be able to do it longer with the Shortcuts app though.

Great plug! People with QR concerns, read on.
|The plug is great. it supports 15 amps, turns table lamps or floor lamps or whatever you plug into it a "smart" device. If you leave device on and just control it with the plug the device will retain its previous state, I use this with an old Air Conditioner and now I can turn it on or off in bed. People are reviewing that the plug has a QR code on the bottom of the plug that cant be scanned when plugged in and that you have to scan it and quickly plug it in and its hard to setup because of this and that they don't include a QR code cutout in the package however they do. Right on the bottom of the top flap is the QR code and the device code.

Cync plug connects to 2.4G and 5G Router.
Owned for 2 weeks by when reviewed.I have the Arris Router that supports dual modes, 2.4G and 5G. All other plugs (like Kasa) failed to connect. It took me a while to search for a plug that can connect to my Router. This Cync plug does the job. So, I highly recommend this Cync plug. GE produces good products.

We love these plugs
Owned for 4 months by when reviewed. These plugs are outstanding! We use them for our aquarium tank lights, tv in kids' room, and lights for terrarium. Easy to use, makes standard plug items able to be turned on or off remotely and on a schedule time. Outstanding and life changing product!
