Modern Murder Most English
DCI Vera Stanhope is a veteran detective. She is a senior detective for the Northumberland and City police. (The “city” is Newcastle.). She is also brilliant, quirky, and very good at building empathy with witnesses and perpetrators, The character is based on bestselling novels by author Ann Cleeves. Senior British actress Brenda Blethyn brings her to life including flashes of intuition, her habit of calling everyone “love” including criminals, and the twinkle in her eyes. This is season 10 of the long running series. Four movie length stories of murder in Newcastle and the Surrounding Northumberland countryside (including glimpses of the North Sea.). The supporting cast returns from previous years including Vera’s long suffering Sergeant, Aidan, her senior detective, Kenny, and the dour, acerbic, sometimes witty coroner.

Long awaited season 10 Vera DVD
Vera is a great British program and it is hard to find in a Region 1 format. This is season 10 and I love it. The price was good and I would recommend it to anyone who loves British mysteries.
