Walker Edison Premium Twin-Size Loft Bunk Bed With Desk
I got this loft and was pleased to see it arrive much sooner than estimated. The package came in 2 boxes: one for the bed frame and the other part for the desk. I'll go into some pros and cons in more detail!
-The instructions were easy to follow and most of the parts had extras in case there were any issues! (spare screws and washers is always a nice thing)
-The bed frame and desk were very spacious and sturdy, I really liked the quality of it and its sleek design.
-This is lower than some other lofts I looked at, but this was still a great size. The desk room was enough for a 6'2" man to sit comfortably at the desk. The desk wasn't too short and there was a lot of room for his head so he wasn't hunched over trying to fit
-Although the instructions were clear for the most part, it wasn't specified which one to put together first. I know it's obvious you're supposed to put the bed frame together first, BUT, they didn't specify how certain parts were supposed to face. For these mistakes, if you aren't careful, will result in taking apart part of the bed to be able to properly assemble the desk.
-The main problem for me, however ((the only real reason I'm not giving this 5 stars)) is that one of the parts came out defective.
When assembling the desk, there are 2 metal support bars that you screw the keyboard tray in to. These bars screw into the desk with 2 holes on each end of the bar. One of them came out as expected, but the other came out with no holes on one of the ends. So, you can't attach it.... I understand it was a manufacturer issue, but I'm not sure how good of an excuse that is for a product this expensive. I know that if you have the proper tools, you can easily create the holes you need, but unfortunately, not everyone has access to that. Because of this defect, I'm going to have to knock it down some.. (Will attach pictures to show how the bar was SUPPOSED to look like and how it came out of the package. The one with the 'FRONT' sticker is the one that came out wrong)
Overall, I enjoyed the product a lot! It seems sturdy and its a bit low, but the height was enough to comfortably sit at the desk with enough headroom, so it's a great product. Unfortunately, I do have to return this because of the problem with the defect and because it is too tall for my short ceilings (7ft or so). If you have short ceilings, I would NOT recommend getting it. I'd also recommend having at least 2 people assembling it!!! It's doable alone but it's VERY difficult.
If the product wasn't defective, I would've totally given it 5 stars on everything.
