The film is a ton of fun and provides more than enough head exploding action to satisfy most zombie fans. Visually arresting though probably a bit overstuffed stylistically, Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead boasts excellent audio and video merits and a good supplementary package.

For those of you who enjoy a good zombie flick with a bit of subtle humor thrown in, you will undoubtedly like this film. The only thing I can really compare it to is Sean of the Dead, as the action is full on action movie stuff, yet its infused with an underlying sense of humor. There's not a whole lot else out there that fits into that category. It takes place in Aussie Land and pays homage to Mad Max in various ways. It's not the Walking Dead, so don't look for deep character driven drama here, but if you are looking for a great popcorn zombie flick whose main purpose is to entertain, then you can't go wrong here. I watch just about every new "Zombie Apocalypse" type film that comes out, and I have to say this one sticks out of the oversaturated pack by being just a little bit different...but in a refreshing way. highly recommended for fans of the genre.

It's not Dawn of the Dead but it is a great little title. I didn't think much about it at first but it is definitely a little gem of a movie. Certain aspects of it feel a bit cliche but there are more interesting, original moments that bring this Australian horror movie to the forefront. I would include more in this review but I'm not into spoiling things. All I can say is...pick it up. It's worth it.
