Q: QuestionBluetooth?(1 answer)
A: Answerreceives and transmitsAnswered by Hood63
- A: AnswerSteve, ARC needs to be configured on your TV and the Receiver - that sets up the "Audio Return Channel" to the Receiver. If your TV doesn't support ARC, you could hookup Optical Out from your TV to Optical In on the Receiver.

Q: QuestionCan I connect it with a sound bar via Bluetooth?(1 answer)
A: AnswerYes, tested it with my Yamaha ATS-1030 soundbar.Answered by KennyC
- A: AnswerTP, Mixing 6 Ohm & 8 Ohm on separate channels is fine. (Speaker resistance actually varies over the frequency range.) Wouldn't recommend 4 Ohm or 2 Ohm for this receiver, though.
Answered by KennyC
- A: AnswerConnect the tv to the receiver via ARC. Connect the DVD to any HDMI input on the receiver (1 through 4). With the tv on you would then select that input on the receiver to view your DVD. Connect other devices to the receiver and merely change the input to view on the tv. Some selections, such as Bluetooth, don't require a tv/monitor...such as streaming music.

I'm very happy with this rx385 plenty of power I use klipsch RX4 on front pair and a JBLsub. This amp is so turnable I am amazed at the moder n electronics all the low frequency you could want my front pair of speakers play bass heavy anyways it will play the high frequencies plenty strong if you turn it that way not my preference overall you can't go wrong for the price I paid

Yamaha rx-v385
Great sound..... the clarity of this unit is amazing especially when used with yamaha speakers.. only reason i bought it was to replace the same unit that i had bought several years ago with the whole speaker system when the receiver " accidentally " got sprayed with water while hosing off the porch.. the unit was fine before than . This system has alot more refinement in the high frequency range as opposed to other surround sound systems that are more aimed to midrange and bass.. i have been pleased with it and it is why i purchased another receiver to replace the water soaked damaged one i had

Great receiver for bedrooms
This is a 5.1 channel surround sound receiver which means it is for a max of five speakers and a subwoofer. I use it for my bedroom/studio apartment and it's more than enough. Yamaha is a trusted brand for sound and all my speakers are Bose so it's good combo. If you want to power a full home theater center in your home I recommend going for the 7.1 channel. Everything on the receiver is labeled very clearly so you don't have to be too knowledgeable about cables to be able to connect your speakers. The interface is simple enough as well. The best part is how simple it is to switch between inputs. The switch buttons are just as big as the volume control on the remote. I am happy with my purchase.
