Q: Can we purchase additional cameras or extra DVR to add more channels?
A: This system comes with a 4 channel NVR. Other Zmodo IP cameras will connect to this NVR, as long as a channel is available. So, if you disconnected one of the included cameras, the NVR would be able to connect to another Zmodo IP camera. Q: Do you need to have wifi in order to use the system?
A: You do not need WiFi for the NVR to connect to the included cameras and record to a hard drive. You can connect the NVR to your router to view the video feed from anywhere on your phone.
Q: Are the cameras powered over the network cable or do they have a power block for each??
A: This system is sPoE, which means the power and video are transmitted through the network cable that is connected to the back of the NVR. You won't need to power the cameras with a power supply. Q: Does system have night vision?
A: Yes, the cameras will automatically switch to night vision in dim conditions. The cameras will see up to 65ft in dim lighting.
A: No, the cameras are connected to the back of the NVR with network cable. That cable provides both power and video.
Q: Will this system alert me immediately when motion detected. Anywhere anytime? Via cell phone??
A: Yes, this system can be configured to send a notification to your smartphone when a camera detects motion.
