After 8 years with my old MacBook Pro, this M5 feels like a huge upgrade. The base 16/512 model is probably enough for most people (I went back and forth on it for a while!), and professional video editors/programmers might need to bump up to the M5 Pro chip when it comes out, but this one feels comfortable for my use and it’s nice knowing it’ll keep up for years. *And for those who are thinking of getting an Air instead, consider if you need a fan, extra ports, and how long you typically like your machines to last!
