    An excellent monitor for the price.

    This is an excellent monitor for the price. You get a 31 1/2 inch screen and a 1920x1080 resolution. Colors are sharp and vibrant. My main use is for work and earning money, which mainly involves Pages (I use a MacBook Air), pdf files, email, and sometimes photos and/or videos. I don't use it for gaming or watching streaming programs, so I cannot comment on how it performs in those situations. Plus, I have this monitor connected to a Plugable UD-7400PD docking station (see my review of this product), so it's one of five external monitors I use and works very well in that situation. This is the second monitor I've bought from the seller, Antonline, which was also 31 1/2 inches in size (see that review). Shipping was fast, and I received both monitors before the promised date. One of my photos shows the Acer 31 1/2-inch monitor (bottom) with an Acer 27-inch monitor, which shows a comparison in their sizes.

  • Is this monitor remote capable?

    No, it's not. You just plug it into a computer or dock/hub connected to a computer and use it. It's not a television-like item that is controlled by a remote control.

  • Is there an opening in the base of the monitor to allow cable management?

    No. There is a short post attached to the back of the monitor and to the base. There is no pass-through for a cable. You'd need to devise something that will work for you for cable management.

  • Does this monitor have built in speakers

    Yes, there are two, located on the back, in the lower left and right corners. However, I've been unable to run sound through them, so I cannot comment on sound quality or volume. (I have it plugged into a dock with an HDMI cable, and the monitor shows up in the sound settings, so I don't know what's going on with that.
