When docked on its side, your watch automatically goes into Nightstand mode, so you can also use it as your alarm clock. The Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock uses the same inductive charging connector that comes with Apple Watch. It charges both the 38mm and 42mm models. And it connects via the Lightning to USB Cable and Apple 5W USB Power Adapter.

A: This is a Apple charging dock for the Apple watch not for a cell phone. I'm not sure if it will work with any other watch but Apple, I sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Q: How long is the included lightening to USB cable? Is it a 3 foot or a 6 foot cable?
A: The lightning cable is 6 feet long.
A: It’s a 2m cable; nice extra long and it seems to be more substantial as well.

A: Yes, it works with the case. I have a case on my watch too.
