  • Key Specs
    • Number of Channels: 12 (The number of discrete channels of sound output. This can be a single number or multiple numbers separated by decimal(s). The first number is the primary, horizontally directed audio channels. The number after the first decimal, if applicable, is the number of subwoofer outputs or channels. The number after the second decimal, if applicable, is the number of height or atmospheric channels designed to immerse the listener by producing overhead sound effects.)
    • Number of Audio Zones: 1 (Audio zones, typically designated by rooms in a home, are areas in which all speakers are dependent on the same sound source. Whether a zone encompasses one or multiple rooms, the receiver or preamp/processor is used to control all aspects of its audio and is able to select which zones receive sound.)
    • Video Pass-through: HDR, 2160 (4K) (Devices with this feature allow video signals to travel from their source to a target device without alteration. For example, a receiver with 4K pass-through would allow 4K video signal from a Blu-ray player to pass to a target TV with surround sound; without the pass-through ability, the receiver would not allow both 4K video and surround sound to be transmitted simultaneously.)

Q: How is this 12 channel? It is pretty apparent looking at the rear speaker outputs that it is 5.1.2?

A: The unit has the ability to process up to 7.1.4 channels, however it only has 7 channels of amplification....You would have to connect an additional 4 channel amp to take advantage of the full 11 channels. Also, it does have 2 LFE pre-outs, but they are actually bridged inside the unit so basically are outputting a parallel LFE signal, not ideal, but at least it makes it easier to connect 2 subs.

Q: I just bought a ARCAM AVR20 & a T/9x SUB using a Audio Quest Boxer cable What inputs do I connect from AVR to Sub? Appreciate your support.

A: Use both left and right Main channel pre-outs for full range sound and let the sub's crossover do the filtering. Sub out on the unit will limit low end in your towers

Q: what is Total Harmonic Distortion on this unit? the 420 was 0.02% and i missed out on that one

A: Also rated at .02 but signal to noise (S/N) is the most important factor
