Works instantly....the only thing i wish, was that the cord was longer and it is 100% 3.2 usb gen and works with No other usb at all..it is a 3' cord...i needed either a 6'-8' cord for my setup and best buy doesn't have the cheapest price for the new cords...found a 8' 3.2 , it did work, but it is very specific that it's the new gen and nothing else.

This thing gave me the better quality of capturing from my VCR, than most of the other capturing devices. However it won't capture anything from my DVD players because it's too conscious about copyrights.

soooo. i have some issues with this device. and like everything else its normally a driver based issue. im very weary of this product but love it at the same time! issue 1: input lag/ audio dely. when streaming, and playing at 120fps.. you get this crazy input lag, every few min. or so. the feedback literally will fast forward, and your stream will look like it lagged hard. AUDIO LAG.. doesn't always happen, which is even more frustrating. when it does happen be prepared for at least 5sec delay. issue 2: its not recording at 60fps on FB. the video quality is not the best. playing at 120 fps, and recording at 60..the video appears to look at 30fps. My elgato HD60 s out performs this streaming quality. perks: This device is excellent at passthrough with the exceptions of input lag on occasion. this device seems to mainly be beneficial at making recordings rather then streaming. record quality is mint. just forget about streaming on it.
