The cloud based storage is Blink Subscription Plan and offers cloud based storage for recording and person detection. A: The floodlight is powered with batteries unless you buy the wired camera. The actual camera itself is also battery powered. The light is motion sensores at night. I do not believe you can separate the module, but I added my floodlight to the module I use for all my other cameras. It can be pretty far my floodlight is in the front of the house while the module is in my living area.

Short Battery Life for Lights
Generally, this is a decent product. The camera works great. It waa easy to put up and the picture and motion detector does what I need. However. It wasn't up 30 days before the batteries on the light went out. If you purchase be prepared to find rechargeable C batteries for the light to work long term.

Just Perfect. We were having night visitors. These lights are fabulous! Brite and stay on long enough for camera to record. They work wonderfully I would purchase again
