The Bosch 500 series oven is great and the Bosch 800 series built-in convection/microwave is not. After just 10 months of microwave operation, we started getting electrical arcs between the metal turntable bottom and the stainless steel interior. It appears the nylon or Teflon rollers are too small and they wear down, allowing the metal tray to get too close to the metal interior of the microwave, resulting in an arc when the microwave is running. This is not a well-engineered turntable and something you would not expect from a Bosch appliance. Thank goodness for the Geek Squad. We were able to get a replacement under our manufacturer's warranty very quickly. However, the replacement turntable was the exact same faulty designed turntable. A little Internet research will reveal this turntable goes bad in one to two years. So we contacted Bosch customer support to bring it to their attention and they kicked the can down the road and told us to file a warranty claim when it goes bad. Our warranty is expiring. So we are going to be shelling out $90 a year to replace a this turntable. We even wrote Bosch corporate and got no response. Obviously, Bosch knows this is a problem, but won't step up to the plate and stand by their product. We have used other manufacturers' convection/microwaves and never had this sort of issue in 30+ years. If we could give this microwave no stars, we would. The oven is 4 to 5 stars. Bosch customer support is no stars. Geek Squad is 5 stars.

Our oven was delivered but nobody ever showed up to install the oven during the scheduled installation window... after multiple attempts to get Best Buy to fulfill its obligations we finally gave up and hired an independent electrician to install the oven.
