Recommended Sequel
Taking place several years after the first film, 'Cocoon: The Return,' is a very good sequel to an exceptional first film. Overall, critics didn't care for this movie, but I disagree on that note. The entire cast returns for this second film, which is one of its major strong points, and as in the first movie, James Horner's musical score is simply breathtaking. Anamorphic widescreen and full-screen.
If you really enjoyed the first movie, no doubt you will enjoy this sequel to it. All of the cast is in the movie again which is an amazing feat and wonderful for moviegoers who love sequels. Steve Guttenberg is just plain eye candy as well, so even if you dont' exactly appreciate the story line, you can at least appreciate the view.
