Q: Can I run this unit on cool all the time? Or is there a recommended time limit?
A: I've had it for nearly 2 years and run it cool all the time. It stays in my home YOGA room... a room I cleared out and turned into a small exercise space when all the gyms closed and I needed to do SOMETHING to work out. It is great for keeping a few cool beverages in and I have unplugged it once since I bought it. I was surprised to find that I actually had a bit of ice condensed in the back inside that has a spot of metal. WIth that, it may be a good idea to unplug it for a day or two every year.
A: This unit cools by means of a thermo-electric cooling module. It has the ability to cool 20F-25F below ambient temperature. If your ambient temperature has increased, the beverages won't be as cool.
Q: If plugged in a room in a cabinet, can this get cold enough for milk?
A: You could store milk for short term, but not cold enough for long term storage. Our fridge never shuts off, so we have unplugged it and will be using it for special occasions or possibly on a road trip.
A: Yes, it can be used either AC or DC and comes with both kinds of plugs.
A: Once you open your almond milk, most likely it should be consumed in 10 days or so - no matter where you have it. My cooler is really COOL inside - and cold enough for almond milk open for the amount of time it is good in a regular fridge.
Q: Does the blue light inside the fridge stay on?
A: THIS ITEM is a cooler, not a "FRIDGE" and there is NOT a light inside. On the back outside you can set it for COOL or for HOT. And on the back if you set it for COOL there is a tiny green light that isn't bright to see that is green when set for cool... and red when set for warm.
