Q: Is this an HE (high efficiency type) washer/dryer?
A: Hi Cliff- GE Unitized Spacemaker GUV27ESSMWW is not HE. However, GE Appliances recommends HE (High Efficiency) detergent be used in all of our washers (past and present models) for optimum wash performance. HE detergent works best with the lower water levels used in all modern washing machines and cleans just as well as standard detergents regardless of the machine type or age.
