Q: can this stove be lit manually in event of power failure?
A: Hello. We appreciate you reaching out with this great question – we know how important being able to use your stove if there’s a power failure can be, and we’re glad to advise. If the power fails, the oven is inoperable and you should not attempt to operate it. But the surface burners can be lit with a match; using extreme caution, you can hold a lit match near the ports beneath the surface burner cap, then slowly turn the knob to the LITE position. Once lit, the burners will operate normally. We do discuss this in the manual as well, on page 8; if you’d like to view that, it’s linked here: https://files.bbystatic.com/orExB%2BKQEkqwtyc0AuAtVA%3D%3D/User%2BManual . We hope this is helpful. We’re always glad to assist if you have any other questions or concerns – all the best! -Sarah@GEA
