A: To the first part of your answer, No. An unlocked phone allows you to remain untethered to a specific carrier. Meaning you are free to use that device with any carrier when or if you want to switch. It used to, however that promotion has passed and now no longer comes with a gift card. This promotion ended at the beginning of September with all of the other official google trade in promotions.

Switching from Samsung Z Fold 6
Switched from the Z Fold 6. Love the feel, the screen & Magic Cue - it's already working for me. Be ready for this to feel a bit heavier than other phones. I'm getting used to the different menu options compared to Samsung. Wish it had more routines... Screen is amazingly bright and crisp. Sound quality on calls is definitely good enough...and just a bit lower than Samsung. Battery is excellent. Integration with Gemini is a major time saver. Switching phones only took a couple of minutes, too.

Great entry to foldables
Jumped from an iPhone 16 Pro over to this and Android 16 made it a breeze to transfer things over. It got all my iMessages, photos and videos along with data from other apps. It is compatible with all of my MagSafe accessories. Love the ability to turn the phone into a tablet at anytime. Very useful when doing long form reading while waiting. Also great when viewing videos. The only one complaint I have is that it is very expensive. Otherwise this is a great phone if you're looking to try out foldable phones.
