Q: can i upgrade the cpu in it with the same motherboard

A: Apparently not. Mine has been in the HP shop for almost a month. The processor went bad after 5 weeks. Apparently, the Motherboard will not allow any substitute or upgrade, as they are waiting on an exact replacement. It is unavailable, and They have informed me that it will take over a month for the processor to arrive. Purchase something else! Not HP.
