Beautiful design. Works well for price point.

The HP OmniStudio X is a really good example of a computer that understands what it is. It is not a gaming PC, and it is not a high end productivity machine, but it handles most of my everyday household needs without much trouble and is probably great for most families. Setup was one of the best parts. Everything you need is included in the box and I had it unboxed and running in under 10 minutes. The adjustable stand is really excellent with smooth height and tilt movement that made it easy to find a comfortable position. The housing is plastic, but the overall design is sleek enough that it never feels cheap. This is a genuinely good-looking computer. For work stuff, performance has been fine. The Core Ultra 5 is not the fastest processor I have used, but it handles some multitasking without crashes or slowdowns. I often have several Chrome tabs open while running cloud-based AI tools, and it worked fine. The fan does kick on almost immediately during heavier tasks, though. The computer never feels hot, but I am sensitive to fan noise, and this one is more noticeable than I would like. The 27-inch display is probably the biggest weakness. Colors look nice, like really nice, and the matte finish bothered me less than I expected. However, the QHD resolution feels low for a screen this size. Text can show visible artifacting during office work. Changing Windows scaling to 125% or 150% helps, but it does not completely fix the problem. It is fine for casual use and movies, but I would not want to stare at this display all day for detailed office work. The built-in speakers are surprisingly good. They are a little bright, but they do not sound as thin or tinny as most all-in-one or monitor speakers. Music and movies are more than passable, and I would call the sound above average for this type of computer. Light gaming is possible, but expectations need to stay realistic. Card games and casual titles are no problem. I also tried Call of Duty through my Xbox subscription. It ran, but I had to use reduced graphics settings, and online play became a little laggy. This is definitely not something I would recommend to a serious gamer. The included keyboard was another pleasant surprise. It was a nice side and had the number pad plus and typing was easy to adapt to. The mouse is a completely different story. It feels like a cheap toy, and the battery cover is frustrating to remove and reinstall. It works, but I replaced it almost immediately. The webcam and microphone are functional but average. Video looks somewhat grainy, while the microphone has been perfectly acceptable for meetings. None of my coworkers have complained, but I would not use either one for serious recording or podcast work. I also tried some of the Copilot features, but Copilot was buggy for me in PowerPoint. So far, other AI tools I use inside Excel and PowerPoint have been more reliable. I get it. Microsoft has to fly with their flagship, but as of right now I don't see any real benefit of the integration. Despite my complaints in some areas, I am giving the OmniStudio X five stars because it delivers what I would expect at this price point. It looks great, performs well enough, includes everything needed to get started, and would make an excellent family computer. It is a good fit for homework, web browsing, streaming, basic office work, or someone with a part-time work-from-home setup. Would I outfit an entire office with this exact model? Probably not. The average performance and lower-resolution display would hold it back for full-time professional use. For most household computer needs, though, this is an easy and attractive all-in-one solution.

    Elegant and a vaulue

HP continuously releases new products as well as improved versions of existing products. All-In-One computers have been around a while as has the OmniStudio line. This is the latest iteration of that product, and a further refinement of an impressive computer. Initially, all-in-one computers were seen as kitchen-friendly devices or lightweight alternatives to traditional desktops, valued mainly for their small footprint, easy placement, and simple setup. That has changed. Today’s high-end models offer the power and connectivity needed for real production, development, and even gaming use. HP’s OmniStudio line starts modestly but scales up to 32-inch high-resolution displays, top-tier processors, and dedicated graphics. These machines are also elegantly designed to compete with any rival. This specific OmniStudio x 27 sits in the middle of that range and offers a strong value for the price. Let’s start at the beginning: the packaging. It is a clear example of thoughtful, functional design. The unit is fully protected, the materials are all recyclable, and the box zips open without needing a box cutter. From there, you assemble and attach the base by following the instructions printed inside the lid while the device lies flat. It’s now easy to lift the large-screen system and set it in place without hassle or risk of damage. It is the easiest setup I have ever experienced. On to the actual computer. It’s sleek and minimalist with a very narrow screen bezel. The stand allows for easy adjustment of height and tilt. The build quality and appearance are first class. The hardware specs are mid-range plus. An Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, onboard Intel graphics, an impressive 27” QHD (2560 x 1440) screen, 16 GB DDR5 RAM, and a 512 GB SSD. Connectivity is extensive with two Thunderbolt 4 ports using USB C connections, three USB 3 high speed ports with USB A connections, ethernet, HDMI out, and headphones. The Thunderbolt ports support video and Thunderbolt share for connecting to another computer. The included wireless keyboard and mouse are powered by AAA batteries and visually match the color and design of the computer. A unique feature is the tilting 5 MP webcam. You can adjust it to frame your face, or rotate it fully downward to enable what HP calls Surface View when using the Poly Camera Pro app. This not only gives a view of your desktop, but it rotates the image so it’s right side up when viewing the camera image. I have a couple of minor issues as far as hardware and layout. Having all the I/O connections on the rear of the unit makes connecting devices portable devices somewhat awkward. The narrow screen edge probably doesn’t allow for edge connections, and a small docking unit solves this issue. The bundled keyboard and mouse are much better than average, but you may prefer your own. This is an excellent computer with more power and versatility than most users probably need or will use. As stated, there’s a lot here for the price. CoPilot and AI abilities are built in, and the Core Ultra processor has neural processing. Depending on your personal preference, you may find that CoPilot is either a great help or a bit intrusive. Performance is good overall, but it is limited by the graphics system. There are versions with discrete graphics if that’s a priority for you. As configured, this computer will easily handle any business, streaming, and content creation tasks, as well as moderate level gaming. There’s a lot here for the price. I can easily recommend it.

Great Setup for Us in the kitchen.

I really love the HP OmniStudio X All-in-One. The screen is absolutely beautiful, and it runs smoothly for everything we need. We actually set this up in the kitchen so whoever is cooking can easily look up recipes, browse the web, or watch YouTube, and it’s been perfect for that. The included keyboard is also fantastic and worked right out of the box. The speakers sound decent at lower volumes, though there is hardly any low end, so don't expect deep bass. I also ran into a bit of a snag with the included mouse, as I couldn't quite get it to connect no matter what I tried. It wasn't a huge deal breaker for me since I had a spare mouse handy, but it’s something to keep in mind. Overall, I’m really happy with this setup! THE GOOD Great Display: The 27-inch screen is clear, bright, and looks great in the kitchen. Solid Performance: It handles daily tasks, browsing, and streaming easily without slowing down. Excellent Keyboard: The keyboard feels great to type on and connected immediately. THE NOT-SO-GOOD The Speakers: They sound decent at lower volumes but lack low end and bass. The Mouse: The included mouse wouldn't connect for me, but it's an easy fix if you have a backup.

Fast, elegant, powerful, and fun to use

This is my second Omnistudio X all-in-one (AIO) PC. I like AIOs because of their small footprint and clean aesthetic. Since all the hardware is packed into the monitor and uses a single power brick, I don’t need to take up additional desk or floor space with a separate tower, and I only need one outlet. Unboxing and putting it together takes less than 5 minutes: just tighten the thumbscrew through the weighted base into the support column and press its connector onto the catch at the back of the screen until it clicks, then ensure that the pieces are locked in before attempting to lift the screen. This PC includes a wireless mouse and keyboard that are pre-paired with a USB dongle installed flush to the bottom right corner of the screen. Both devices require AAA batteries (included) and have their own on/off switches. On the back of the machine, to the left of the support column you’ll find 2x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports and 3x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, while on the right are the power input, 2.5 Gbps Ethernet jack, HDMI 2.0b port, and combo mic/headphone jack. The power button resides on the back in the lower right-hand corner, and a removable cable management clip sits towards the base of the column to tidy up cords. The base measures 7” x 8.5” and the adjustable height 27” monitor’s chin sits 2” - 6” above your desktop with total height of 16.5” - 20.5.” The screen can tilt forward and back a few degrees, but does not rotate or swivel. It is surprisingly lightweight at just 13 lbs, and the stand does a nice job at stabilizing it, so it does not tip over. The screen is a QHD IPS panel with max resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, 120 Hz max refresh, with 450 nits of brightness covering 100% of both Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 colorspaces. I found the colors to be vivid, well-saturated with good contrast, and suitable for digital art and video content creation. The anti-glare coating lets you see the screen clearly without reflections in a variety of lighting conditions and from a wide range of angles, and the display is great for watching movies with HDR support available for streaming video, though not for apps or gaming. The PC has quad 3W speakers built-in on the underside of the screen. Keep in mind the audio quality can change a bit depending on volume level and the height of the monitor, as more sound from the downward firing speakers will reflect off your desk the closer it is to the surface. At max volume and height, the speakers can get fairly loud and the sound spreads more evenly. I found the sound to be mid-focused and only moderately detailed in the treble with just a little bit of distortion, such as crunchy piano cords and sush-y cymbals at the highest volume. However, voices and instruments can sound boom-y while feeling a bit thin in the bass. At 50% volume it sounded more balanced with clear and natural highs but slightly pulled‑back mids and just a touch of bass support. While they’re perfectly serviceable for watching streaming video and gaming, the sound is not very full or powerful. The soundstage is also pretty narrow as it's very much concentrated at the center of the display, so you won't be able to discern stereo separation or placement of sounds. The sound also gets a bit muddled when the monitor is at its lowest height. If you use headphones, you can enable DTS Headphone:X for a virtualized 3D surround sound experience which I thought sounded great on my gaming headset. As for connectivity, this build supports Wi-Fi 7 up to the 6 GHz bandwidth and 320 MHz channel width for faster connection speeds and uses the latest Bluetooth 6 protocol for ultra-low latency audio, pinpoint device tracking, and enhanced power efficiency. The core specs of this machine are geared towards mid-level performance with the Intel Core Ultra 5 325 CPU which has 8 cores and threads, a 2.1 GHz base block with up to 4.5 GHz boost, and 12 MB L3 cache. It comes pre-built with a stick of 16 GB 5600MHz DDR5 RAM and a 512 GB m.2 SSD, with a second slot for each, allowing you to upgrade up to 32 GB RAM and add a second storage drive. The display uses integrated graphics which is fine for work and casual tasks, but cannot run texture rich games at full resolution. I was able to get Halo Infinite to run pretty smoothly at medium/low graphics and achieved framerates between 30-40 fps while Warframe was also playable at low graphics where I typically saw framerates between 60-70 fps. An attached 5MP IR webcam sits on top of the monitor, has a built-in privacy cover, and can even tilt downward to capture your keyboard and desktop. Its wide field of view captures a decent sized area, has nice clarity even in low light, and the built-in 2-array microphone picks up audio cleanly and clearly. It works great for work meetings, video chat, and live streaming. This PC is touted as a next gen AI PC and supports a number of AI features. For example, the keyboard has a Windows Co-pilot launch key, and the CPU has a dedicated NPU capable of 47 TOPS for executing AI tasks locally, quickly and efficiently. Most of these operations work in the background and enable you to access features like live captions, accurate background blurring and framing when using the webcam, and noise scrubbing and voice enhancement for mic input. There's also real-time voice-to-text typing available by pressing the microphone key on the keyboard, which I found to be fairly accurate in performance. Overall, the HP Omnistudio X is a powerful All-in-One computer that has a clean, minimalist aesthetic. The large screen delivers great visuals, and the speakers are decent for everyday tasks and listening. Built-in AI features enhance its capabilities without bogging down the system or requiring a dedicated GPU, and the integrated graphics is good enough to play casual games and even some more resource-hungry games at low to medium graphics. The specs out of the box may be satisfactory for many users, but for those that want to upgrade the system, additional RAM and SSD storage can be added by the end user.

    Great Entry Level AIO PC

The OmniStudio X27" is a good entry level pc, for light office work or for a student. From unboxing to physically using the computer HP has taken away all the guess work, this takes mere moments (minus the agonizing windows setup that isn't HP's fault). Right out of the box you grab the stand, snap it to the back of the screen, sit it on a desk, plug it in, turn on the mouse and keyboard and literally you are off and running. HP has made this a no thought process, which is nice for standard users that aren't wanting to mess around with configuring, installing hardware and the like. It really is as simple as 2 pieces, plug in power cord and start the windows setup process. There are different configurations to almost all of HP's computers, and this one is no different. If you are needing a beefier rig with huge gpu, ram and hard drive space out of the box you can always look for that configuration on Best buy's site. For me this one is the perfect in entry level that we need for our youngest daughter to focus on school work and not take up much room in our home, its a beautiful computer, has good wifi/nic to provide fast internet and a good internal gpu and decent Intel Ultra 5 processor. Pros All in One Pc / Super fast setup Fast Ultra 5 CPU (4.5Ghz 8x8) Beautiful 27" LED Screen (2560x1440 [qhd]) Mouse and Keyboard included Includes 5MP IR camera w/dual array digital microphones WiFi 7 & Bluetooth 6 Ports: - Headphone / Mic Combo Jack - 2 Thunderbolt 4 / USB Type-C 40Gbps - 3 USB Type A 10Gbps - 1 HDMI 2.0b - 2.5GB RJ-45 Port Cons Only Ships with 16GB Ram Only Ships with 512 SSD hard drive ->Reverse Uno Cons: You can replace /upgrade the ram and or SSD with larger hardware::: (Direct Step by Step HP Video for upgrading ram & ssd: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxRFvu7nVvw ) Overall, this is a great little entry level computer, that doesn't take up much space on your desk, it includes everything you need right out of the box to get you going. This will make a great addition to your families homework hub, personally for our kids this little guy will free up time on the other systems and be specific to homework type tasks, and this will be taken advantage of, not to mention you can still use it for every day things such as getting your daily fill of youtube and other streaming, with the focus being web browsing, emails, word and excel work. If you are just looking for a nice little office computer to get work done I would definitely recommend this pc.
