This is my first ever HyperX mouse and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Overall the quality of this mouse is on par or better than the other gaming brands but really excels in software. Pros Customizable to fit how you hold a mouse Good Weight 1k/2k/4k polling modes 26k DPI sensor Lightweight software Hardware memory for settings Cons Mouse wheel is a little squeaky Build quality for this mouse is pretty good. Even though the shells and buttons are held on by magnets, I had no issues with the mouse falling apart when using it. Being able to swap out pieces to fit your grip style is neat. The plastic is ever so slightly textured so you don't have a problem losing grip. The buttons are nice and tactile giving your feedback every time you click. Battery life has been superb. I have not charged this mouse yet after a 5 days of use. Its still sitting at 30% battery life with heavy use. I have the polling rate set to 2k, so it can be even higher with a lower setting, or worse with the 4k rate. The software is what I really like about this mouse. Unlike other companies, the Ngenuity software is very lightweight. You open it up, configure the settings your need, save it to the mouses memory and close the software. No need to have it running in the background sapping CPU cycles. The software is minimal while having all the features you could want. I am extremely happy with how solid this mouse is and minimalistic the software is.

The HyperX Pulsefire Saga Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse is HyperX’s attempt at a high-end, customizable gaming mouse. I’ve been using this 72-gram mouse for a while, and here’s what I think. The customization is a standout feature. It comes with two shells, two sets of top buttons, and two pairs of side buttons, giving you up to 16 different combinations. You can swap out parts to get the exact feel you want, like a curved back for comfort or buttons that fit your grip better. Everything attaches magnetically, so it’s super easy to switch without any tools. HyperX also provides 3D printing blueprints on Printables.com, so if you have a 3D printer, you can create your own custom designs. I didn’t try that myself, but the included options are great for right-handed users, especially those with larger hands. The downside? The stock shells and buttons aren’t drastically different from each other, so unless you’re printing custom parts, the modularity might not feel as exciting as it sounds. Performance is excellent. The 26K DPI sensor tracks every movement smoothly, whether you’re playing fast-paced shooters like Valorant or working on something less intense. I used it at 1,600 DPI, and the four onboard DPI presets (adjustable without software) made switching between tasks simple. The 4K polling rate over the 2.4GHz wireless connection feels just as responsive as a wired mouse. The optical switches are crisp and register clicks instantly, and they’re quiet, which is nice for late-night gaming. I tested it on a cloth Glorious mousepad, and it glided effortlessly. Battery life is solid. HyperX claims up to 90 hours at 1KHz polling, and I got about 80 hours of mixed gaming and work before needing a charge. At 4K polling, it lasts around 30 hours, which is still decent for competitive play. Charging is easy with the USB-C port, which is a welcome touch. However, the wireless dongle is USB-A, which feels outdated in 2025. My MacBook needed the included USB-A to USB-C adapter to connect to the dock, which was a minor hassle. A USB-C dongle would have been much better. The HyperX NGENUITY software is okay. It lets you adjust DPI, remap up to five buttons, and tweak the RGB lighting, which is subtle and not overly flashy. You can also check battery life and polling rates. But it’s only available for Windows, so Mac users like me can’t customize much. Plus, the software sometimes failed to detect the mouse, which was frustrating when I wanted to change settings. The HyperX Pulsefire Saga Pro is a great mouse with strong performance and cool customization options. The sensor is smooth, the battery lasts a long time, and the optical switches feel responsive. The USB-A dongle and Windows-only software are minor drawbacks, and the price is a bit high if you’re not using the 3D printing feature. But if you want a mouse that performs well and lets you make it your own, this is a solid choice.

Here is another gaming mouse this time from HyperX. These days, gaming mice are all about pushing the limits with faster polling rates and higher DPI, plus making wireless connections even better and more accurate. I have used a gaming mouse that has interchangeable magnetic covers, well this HyperX did the same but with a bit more ingenuity. When it comes to design there is not much of a difference from a regular mouse. It is the construction, feel and performance that will make a difference. This one does not fail in that category. Setting it up was extremely simple, just plug and play. Windows OS will recognize it as an RGB enabled device and you will be able to control the lights directly from it. Only the scrolling wheel lights up. The mouse can be connected via bluetooth, 2.4 wireless band with its dedicated receiver or via USB-C cable. This mouse will work out of the box with PC, PS5 and Xbox. What initially grabbed attention was not all the bells and whistles which are the 26K DPI, 4K wireless polling rate, Bluetooth, 2.4 wireless band, RGB lights and the 90 hours battery life. It was the actual magnetic covers. Why the cover? well because you can actually change pretty much all of it, not just the entire top shell. Unlike other mice where you swap the entire top shell, this one allows you to change the button section, the side buttons, the palm rest, or all. That level of modularity adds a fresh level of customization, making the mouse feel more personal and tailored to your preferences. For instance, the additional palm rest included is shorter, and the alternate button cover is flatter with a center curve for better finger positioning, a setup I found particularly well suited for gaming. They also included textured grip tape for both side grips and the left/right buttons, enhancing comfort and control. They even took it a step further by allowing 3D printing mouse parts from open source models which you can personalized. The mouse itself is incredibly lightweight. I found the default cover perfect for everyday use. With medium-sized hands, it fits well and feels precise in use. Unlike many gaming mice packed with extra buttons, this one keeps it simple with five programmable buttons, which can be customized using the HyperX NGENUITY software. A multi-function button on the mouse's right underside handles both Bluetooth connections and wireless receiver pairing, while also serving as the power button. The left underside button is to adjust the DPI. When it comes to gaming this mouse does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is very accurate and responsive. Some users might find the five button limit a drawback, depending on their gameplay needs. As for the RGB lights only the scroll wheel lights up. You can’t do much customization with it. Overall this is a great mouse, It is very accurate and extremely comfortable. The high DPI ceiling and adjustable polling rate cater to a wide range of gamers, particularly those who demand pinpoint accuracy and minimal lag. But what truly sets it apart is the modular design, allowing you to swap parts magnetically and tailor the mouse to your individual style and comfort. In the box you get the USB cable with extension adapter, wireless receiver, replacement buttons, replacement skate pads, grip tape and manuals.
