A: I had the same problem, which turned out to be user error in my case. First I would unplug the unit for fifteen minutes of so just in case its memory got scrambled. Once you plug it back in the LED temp display will turn on and the unit will beep. At that point you will have to unlock the unit by TOUCHING and HOLDING the unlock button for three seconds or so until the unit beeps and the display starts slowly blinking. These are touch sensitive buttons so DO NOT PRESS down on them hard. Then touch the up or down arrows to set your desired temperature. At this point you can also switch between degrees F or C by touching both UP and DOWN arrows simultaneously. Be aware that after a short while the unit will AUTOMATICALLY LOCK the DISPLAY PANEL and the UP/DOWN arrow buttons will no longer respond. If that happens you will have to unlock the display panel once again by touching and holding the unlock button for about three seconds or until it beeps and the LED display starts blinking. A: The bottom rack will fit a champagne bottle. You can fit a champagne bottle in the upper racks but a regular bottle probably wont fit net to it. I use the 55 degree setting for both white and red as this is the true wine cellar setting. If the red is to cold for your taste just set it out for several minutes to warm up.
A: Have you tried holding the lock button until it beeps? Iirc they come “locked” so you have to unlock to set initial temp.
A: No it doesn’t hold the bigger bottles
A: Push down the lock button on the far left until it releases the temp control buttons. It will automatically reset to lock after a few minutes.
Q: plugged in for 3 hours and making no noise what so ever and cannot adjust temperature
A: We were “new to insignia” about 2 months ago. Love ours Some suggestions (you probably have tried): see if the light feature works, or check that electric is operational in the outlet; make sure you have fully extended the coolers electric cord; if using an extension cord, make sure it accepts 3 prongs; if in a gfi outlet, push reset; read directions again about the locking capability (maybe locked in a non helpful setting) Hope you get the problem solved. Our working model is perfect. Have temp on a good red setting, filled with red and white, move white into fridge to chill a little more before we serve.
