Product Manuals

Q: My 570 graphics card requires an 8-pin power plug. I see the picture that looks like two 4 pins can be inserted together to create an 8. Is this correct?

A: no this is incorrect, two 4 pins are used for the motherboard cpu power connector, NOT for graphics cards, the power supply does have two six pin connectors that have an extra 2 pins on each, meaning cards with two 8 pin connectors can be supported too; do not try to use the cpu power connectors on the gpu, they wont fit and if they do, that would be bad.

Q: can this power supply be put into a hp pavilion gaming desktop 690-00xx. I want to upgrade the RAM to about 24GB and i need a better power supply for this to work

A: As long as it takes a standard case PSU it should have no issue. You may want to view the motherboard specs of that desktop to make sure that 24gb of ram is possible.
