can the speakers be operated without the remote control
Answered by Kanto LivingBrian, The knob on the front of the speaker can control sleep / wake, volume, and input selection. You get full functionality with the remote including tone controls and play controls but you can use the speakers without the remote. Do these speakers come with the normal 2-year manufacturers warranty?

Can these be used with a powered receiver? I would like to connect to a receiver for 5.1 sound & use these speakers for the front left and front right, for movie watching. Then I would like to use the bluetooth function for music streaming. Both uses?
