A: Shelf depth is 18 1/2". A twelve pack should slide in.

Working good for temperature control. Scratches on front of stainless appear to be rust colored? Or rusty? Not sure yet. The stainless is not fingerprint resistant and has to be cleaned off with a stainless cleaner. Ice maker and water dispenser work great so far. The installation/delivery was as promised and professional. I love the textured handles. Fridge does roll forward alittle when it’s empty but now that it’s full not so much. The fridge does stick out a bit from countertop depth but I knew that it would from the measurements.

I wanted a refrigerator without a water dispenser since they take up so much space and I live alone. I like that there is a water dispenser for guests and that it is discreet. I also do not use ice and this comes with one. Again it is a nice convenience for guests. The ice maker is rather loud. So I am glad I won't be using it often. I make sure to let it make ice all day so that at night there is no noise. The interior space is generous and very pleasing to look at The large horizontal drawer lid is self opening/closing. That is a nice surprise and delight.

Even considering this fridge is just a higher priced, rebadged version of a lower-end Whirlpool, I was expecting better quality control. On day one, I noticed a dent in the door, which could be from shipment or delivery, but I also found a sizable dent in the freezer liner just inside the door, insulation peaking out from the top of the fridge to the point where the plastic trim on the top is lifting, and the right fridge door's bottom hinge is already showing stress on the plastic cover. The shelf design is very poor too. I had an early Whirlpool/Amana bottom freezer unit at my old house with similar shelving in the fridge and never had a problem adjusting them. Removing the shelves in this unit will either cause you to hit the light dome in the front if the shelf is too high, or will not sit right because the outer rail on both sides does not extend low enough to go past the third notch from the bottom. This quality control and lack of attention to basic detail is something you'd expect from it's $1200 Whirlpool twin, but not an $1800 KitchenAid fridge. Premium pricing does not equal a premium product when it comes to Whirlpool. Very sad.
