The Lenovo Legion 5 is a strong starter laptop for anyone getting into gaming, graphic design, or even heavier creative work like 3D modeling and rendering. Performance-wise, it definitely delivers. I’ve seen noticeable improvements in render speeds compared to my previous machine, and the processor handles demanding tasks pretty smoothly. That said, battery life is probably the biggest downside. If you’re planning to work unplugged for long stretches, this may not be the best choice. During intensive 3D modeling and rendering sessions, I average around 45 minutes on battery, which is typical for performance laptops but still something to keep in mind. The cooling system works well, but the fans can get pretty loud under heavy workloads. The RGB lighting is a nice aesthetic touch, especially for gaming setups, though it does contribute to additional battery drain. Overall, if performance matters more than portability or battery life, the Legion 5 is a solid choice. It’s powerful, reliable for creative work and gaming, and a great option as long as the shorter battery life and louder fans aren’t deal breakers.

I’ve been using the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 for a while now, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. The performance is extremely solid — everything feels fast and smooth. Games run great on high settings, and even when I’m multitasking with multiple programs open, the system stays responsive. The screen is one of my favorite parts. The resolution and refresh rate make a big difference, especially in fast-paced games. Colors look vibrant, and the image is sharp whether I’m gaming, watching videos, or working. Build quality feels premium and sturdy. It doesn’t feel fragile, and the keyboard is comfortable for long sessions. The cooling system does a good job — yes, the fans get louder under heavy load, but temperatures stay stable and performance doesn’t drop. Battery life is reasonable for a gaming laptop. It’s clearly designed more for power than ultra-long unplugged use, but for everyday tasks it lasts well enough. Overall, the Legion Pro 5 feels like a powerful and reliable machine that balances performance and quality. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a strong gaming and productivity laptop.

I’ve had the laptop about 2 weeks now. The performance is top notch. 9.5/10 I minused a .5 because compared to my Asus Vivobook 14 pro, it experiences a lag after booting up when it’s time to press enter and sign in, lagging a second before you can type the password. That’s nothing significant at all but in comparison to my asus it’s just something I myself can mark down. I use the laptop for my architecture classes and this laptop was a great choice to run revit and autocad. The laptop’s design is beautiful. I love the design. It gets hot closer to the top near the screen in performance mode but the fan does a good job cooling My 2 issues with the laptop that are a deterrent are the battery life and power LED (the light around the power button that can change colors depending on the laptop performance mode) For a laptop this amazing, the battery life kills the product. Even on light work the battery is terrible. 3/10 The Power LED is a major distraction and cannot be dimmed nor turned off, especially when it’s red. It’s also hard on the eyes. I wish there was a way they would make it more discreet or able to be manipulated as it serves a significant purpose. I would recommend this laptop but you must be willing to put up with these 2 major drawbacks and create your own solutions
