If your second monitor isn’t being recognized, the issue may be related to cable compatibility, monitor input settings, or system configuration. Please ensure you're using a DisplayPort 1.4-certified cable and that your monitor’s input source is manually set to DisplayPort. So far so good. I saw this on a deal of the day promotion and was looking to replace my 11 year old home pc. I don't need CD/DVD drives any more but what I did need was the ability to run (2) separate monitors. Once I got an new monitor that had a DPI port and proper cables it worked just fine. So far, I'm happy, it seems to do all that I need and it's really small.
