Awesome stick and base with great feedback.

Ive used this product for the past month and all i can say is that im stuck being at my Sim Rig then have a normal life. Its bring life to the planes that I fly and the feeling when you fire up the guns or shoot missle and rockets is on a whole another level. The product is made with high quality materials and software is a learning curve but takes an hour to figure it out. I really enjoy it and Moza did a great job egtting into the Flight Sim world.

    Immersive Force Feedback

I have owned many racing and flight simulators gadgets over the years, and I’ve always thought of them as must-have gaming gadgets because they take the overall gaming experience to the next level. I have been eagerly waiting for it to arrive. The box itself is noticeably heavy, which tells me that the item is well made. The unboxing experience was straightforward, and every part inside the box was clean and organized. After that, I was ready to set it up. The setup was easy, like a chime requiring only a power cable and a USB connection to the PC. The only step that needed a bit of extra attention was attaching the stick to the base, which involved carefully pulling down the cable from the joystick, aligning the pins correctly with the base, and tightening the locking ring. Once connected, I pressed the power button on the back of the base, and both the stick and the base powered on immediately with their lighting activated. It is worth noting that the package also included two desk clamps for securing the flight stick to the desk. I personally preferred having it sitting at my desk without the clamps. I appreciate its solid weight and the rubberized pads underneath, as both make sure that the base stays firmly in place without sliding around. The build quality is also great. Nothing made me feel it was cheap. Although some construction parts are made of plastic and not full metal construction, the overall feel is premium, sturdy, comfortable, and well-weighted. Configuration of the AB6 bundle is managed through the MOZA Cockpit software on PC, which has a clean and user-friendly interface that doesn’t feel cluttered or overwhelming. The software's multiple tabs allow for personal customization and firmware updates. During the initial setup, I was promoted to update the AB6 bundle, the joystick, and the base. The update was super fast and took only a minute or so. I left most of the settings to the defaults, except for the force feedback. I tried different strengths based on different aircraft. The force feedback felt realistic and enjoyable. The 6 Nm peak torque is enough to provide strong feedback that makes me feel immersion. The 2 throttle sliders on the base have a satisfying feeling and are primarily used for engine thrust and airbrake control. Also, the MHG base is equipped with 8 programmable buttons located on both sides that are fully customizable and feature RGB lighting. These buttons can be assigned to distinct functions. When I launched Microsoft Flight Simulator and changed the controls from keyboard and mouse to MOZA AB6. Inside the MOZA Cockpit software, supported games are listed, and the settings can be configured from there, and the game can be launched. The first flight mission immediately impressed me. I was able to feel turbulence, runway vibrations, and aerodynamic resistance. I honestly enjoyed the feeling, and the level of immersion completely transforms my flying experience and makes me feel like I am a real pilot. This type of gadget is a must-have for enjoyment. Finally, during my time using the MOZA AB6 joystick in different flight sessions, I was genuinely impressed by how much it exceeded my expectations more than I thought. I genuinely enjoyed using the MOZA AB6 Flight Simulator flight joystick and would recommend it for those who like immersive experience and do not rely on the traditional controllers.

Moza's superior SIM hardware DNA aims to impress!

I’m a sim gamer, but I mostly stick to racing sims. Moza is already well-known for their high-end racing gear, and that DNA definitely carries over to the AB6 joystick. This base and stick combo feels like a professional-grade tool rather than a toy. The construction is almost entirely metal, making it incredibly heavy and durable, with none of the plastic creaking you find on cheaper setups. It’s a serious piece of gear that’ll satisfy even the pickiest flight sim players. The standout feature is the active force feedback. Unlike traditional flight sticks that use mechanical springs for centering, the AB6 uses motors to provide dynamic resistance. In games like MSFT Flight Simulator and X-Plane 11, the immersion is immediate. You can feel the vibration of the landing gear, the weight of the air on the control surfaces at high speeds, and the subtle turbulence while cruising. It’s a significant step up from standard spring-based joysticks and adds a level of realism only Moza’s engineering can deliver. I also tried DCS and the immersion during a dogfight was incredible when targeting and shooting. It’s honestly amazing in every way. The stick itself is pretty large, which might be a challenge if you have smaller hands, but the design and feel is very authentic. It’s also packed with buttons—which is great for complex sims—but requires a lot of initial configuration. I couldn't get the default profiles for X-Plane and MSFS to load, so expect to spend an hour or two manually mapping controls. However, the Moza software is intuitive and makes it easy to adjust response curves and force feedback strength, along with its 50+ RGB buttons. You’ll need to change the language from Chinese to English, but it’s quick and easy. Desk mounting is straightforward thanks to the included hardware. Interestingly, the AB6 base can also function as a racing shifter, providing some extra value for sim racers, though finding a permanent spot on a dedicated rig might require a specific mounting plate. If you’re building a dedicated flight sim rig, you’re going to be very happy, especially if you decide to branch out to Moza’s racing sim hardware (which is incredible). Moza has delivered a complete, high-quality package that is largely ready to use out of the box, aside from programming the massive amount of buttons. As the community grows, pre-made button maps should become easier to find. Moza's commitment is clear, with two firmware updates already released that have improved the experience. While the $399 price point is a solid investment for a newcomer, the AB6 prevents the need for costly mid-range upgrades down the line. It offers a level of realism previously hard to find in the consumer market. Overall, the hardware is superb, the software is comprehensive, and the unit’s application extends beyond just flight simulation. The AB6 is a highly capable, well-built peripheral that makes a massive difference in immersion. Its quality and configurability make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to get serious about flight sims and skip the upgrade cycle entirely. Highly recommended.

A must for hardcore flight sim fans

I’m reviewing the MOZA AB6 stick as a more casual fan of flight games. “Casual” is probably strange for someone who owns a dedicated seat (the SimFab) for playing flight sims or racing games with. Believe me though, there are definitely tiers to the flight sim community. That said, I have grown up playing games like X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Ace Combat, and Project Wingman so I may edge on the side of the less technical flight sims like Microsoft Flight Simulator and DCS World. So, I’m writing this review from the perspective of a more casual fan of flight games, but still experienced flight stick user especially having previously owned a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro (still works believe it or not) and then a VKB Gladiator NXT Evo. In terms of comfort, the AB6 is the base and it comes with the MHG flight stick. The MHG flight stick’s top portion is really wide compared to the previous two flight sticks I use. Your thumb has to travel farther to reach the buttons on the left and the right. This isn’t a deal breaker, but I thought the layouts for the previous sticks were more comfortable for me. Otherwise, the stick feels comfortable to use overall and you have sufficient buttons. The buttons can be customized with the MOZA Cockpit software as well as have the lighting adjusted. Some could argue that for the MSRP you pay for the stick it should have more a premium feel and be less plasticly, but the stick itself is actually only $100 with most of the money going to the AB6 motorized base. Something to be aware of is that the stick does need to be powered with the AC adapter even if you’re not going to use the force feedback. The stick cannot be used with a USB connection alone as you cannot even turn it on. Moreover, the x and y axis movements feel really loose until the motorized base is powered on. I don’t have any problems with the stick’s movements from the time I spent on it; it feels precise enough for me and you can always tweak the settings through the Cockpit software. Where the AB6 really shines though is when you play it with games that support force feedback like DCS and Microsoft Flight Simulator. There is a lot of added realism with the vibrations and resistance when flying in those games. You can make adjustments using the software with the force feedback. Something worth mentioning is that the AB6 comes with table clamps so you can hang it off of your table for increased comfort. This is notable because I feel like most sticks (at least the ones I used) don’t come with any kind of table mounting equipment. If you’re a flight sim hardcore gamer, I would strongly recommend this stick as it’s the cheapest one with force feedback currently; the force feedback adds a lot to the realism. Not to mention, it’s a quality stick overall. However, if you’re not playing flight sims and often play more arcade ones or flight games that lack force feedback, I would recommend a cheaper stick especially the VKB Gladiator NXT Evo.
