Q: Can this be used with spectrum cable tv?
A: Hi Pam. This system can be viewed on a TV monitor using the provided HDMI cable. You would then simply tune to that HDMI input to view the cameras. But it cannot be incorporated into your cable subscription. Thank you!

This is a 1080p standalone DVR, so you would need to add compatible Night Owl cameras (up to 1080p) to it.
