Q: Does this have the option to download an app to be able to view your footage from it?

Q: Do I need to hook up Ethernet cable to the DRV view camera on my mobile phone or can I use WiFi?
A: You need to connect via Ethernet cable to the main DVR This is what I use.
A: Hi Prof. With the DVR connected to a TV or monitor via HDMI, you will be able to live view all of your cameras 24/7. Additionally, you have live view options via our FREE CMS on a PC or Mac and via our FREE App on a smart device. By default, the system is set to motion record. If you would like to switch this to 24/7 record, you can do that. However, it will quickly fill up your HDD and recordings will likely only be stored for a few days before they are overwritten to make way for new recordings. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
Q: Does this setup have the push notifications for your phone when motion is detected?
A: Yes and it will drive you insane going off every second.
Q: Do I need internet to record on the DVR, and can a connect a tablet to view recorded images
A: The Night Owl 4-Camera Indoor/Outdoor Wired Surveillance System does not require Internet or wifi access to record to the DVR.
