A: Yes, the Ring works, but the information without the subscription is nearly useless! Without the subscription, Oura withholds ALL basic source information provided by the Ring. Instead, Oura only displays "Activity Goal", "Readiness", and "Sleep" scores. These scores are nearly useless because they are based upon information provided by the Ring that you will no longer be able to see. For example, the "Activity Goal" score is based upon your individual goal for steps - but without the subscription, you will no longer be able to see, set, or update this goal! The "Sleep" score will be based up go-to-bed and wake-up times that may not be correct, but without the subscription, you will have no long have the ability to see that the information is wrong or be able to correct it. Therefore, if you want to continue to get the promised value from your Ring, you will HAVE to continue the subscription! This will bring a total three-year cost of the ring up to about $500!! Buyer beware! I bought my ring directly from Oura with a 6-month subscription included. Now that my subscription has run out, I am very disappointed to find out that there is almost no value to the ring without the subscription. I would not recommend the Ring unless you plan to pay for the subscription and include the subscription cost in your planned cost of the Ring.
A: The Oura Ring emits minimal electric and magnetic fields (EMFs) and allows users to enable Airplane Mode to limit contact even further. The limit for Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) for a device such as the Oura Ring is 2.0 W/kg for the head and body. The Oura Ring SAR level is 0.0003 W/kg. Additionally, Bluetooth is only active on the Oura Ring for short periods, well below 1% of the day. Data is transmitted more continuously when the ring syncs with the app and during firmware updates.
A: You may return any fully functional and undamaged Oura product for any reason within 14 days for a full refund or exchange. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. For exchanges, original orders are limited to one ring size, color, or model change within the same price range. If you have any concerns with your ring, you can also submit support requests through the Oura App and Oura website.
Q: All the pictures I’ve seen have the ring on index finger, is this recommended over any other finger?
A: The Oura Ring works on all fingers and can be worn on either hand. For optimal performance and accuracy, we recommend wearing your Oura Ring on your index finger. If you prefer another finger, the middle or ring fingers are the next best, but try to avoid fingers with large knuckles (where the base of your finger is narrower than the knuckle).

The Oura ring I purchased impressed me with its overall quality and reliability. The build is solid, featuring durable materials that give it a premium feel without being too heavy. It has a sleek, unobtrusive design that blends well with both casual and formal wear. In terms of reliability, the ring consistently delivered on its promises. The battery life was sufficient, lasting several days on a single charge, and it paired seamlessly with my smartphone, maintaining a stable connection. As for accuracy, the smart ring performed exceptionally well. It provided precise health metrics like heart rate, sleep patterns, and activity tracking, comparable to more traditional fitness wearables. The sensors appeared to be finely tuned, with data aligning closely to what I’ve seen from other trusted devices. Overall, this smart ring is a dependable and high-quality option for anyone looking to add smart features to their everyday jewelry.

I got the Oura ring for 3 reasons: 1) Sleep analysis since I've always had a terrible time falling asleep and getting enough deep sleep. 2) I was also curious about the stress insights since I'm on the anxious side which surely contributes to my sleep issues and lack of energy. 3) I wanted a low profile wearable device that measures basal body temperature so I could track my ovulation trends. Long story short, it did all of these things well. Now onto the cons: 1) I didn't know your fingers swell when you sleep so I woke up with the circulation cut off my finger. I now move the ring to a smaller finger before bed. I wish the ring was an open design to to account for how much your fingers change size over the course of the day/night. 2) It is really bad at activity tracking. You cannot "start" / record a workout like on an Apple Watch or Whoop. It will "detect" a workout and ask you to confirm afterward (ex. "Did you do a 15 min walk?") but it rarely detects the right amount of time, if at all. 3) It is difficult to grip weights or dumbells tightly because of the ring's bulkiness. 4) The ring is useless without the $5.99 monthly subscription to access your data. So factor the cost of the subscription into this purchase. Overall, it gives me a lot of valuable insights and it excels in sleep and stress data.

I absolutely love my Oura Ring. It tracks my sleep, stress levels, menstrual cycle, readiness for the day - I’m obsessed. I have been debating on buying one for over a year now and I’m so glad that I took the initiative. I typically wear a size 7 in rings but had to size up to 9 with my Oura Ring to make sure it was comfy, not too tight, but also not too loose. I wear it on my index finger to get the most accurate result. It has been a great add-on to my life to improve my overall health! A huge positive to the ring itself is that it only takes 20-30 minutes to charge completely and can last me up to 5-7 days without needing a charge. It’s very comfy, lightweight, appealing to the eye and matches my everyday gold jewelry. You can wear it comfortably in the shower, washing dishes, and even swimming. I personally don’t take it off unless it’s charging. In my opinion, it’s more convenient and reliable than my Apple Watch. I will repurchase if needed in the future without a doubt. The only thing I had a concern about was the membership in order to use the ring itself, but after my experience with my Oura Ring, the membership is 100% worth it.
