Q: Can the unit be powered by the fuse box?
A: You can as long as there is a fuse to protect the curcuit. Cutting the power cord may void the warranty though and/or reverse the polarity destroying the unit and the warranty. I spent a fair amount of time installing car stereos, CBs, & etc, in my own business. I didn't want call backs or redos. You may also be better installing an auxiliary "cigarette lighter" size outlet and use the normal power cord. I presume you want to hide the extra long cord? In this case the original cord plug can be hidden as well. That will give you the clean, hidden, uncluttered look as well. "Sleeper" high powered car stereos that use the stock speaker locations are highly advised to deter theft (as a hidden cord on the mirror). No one will notice what you really have! A: Hello, The camera does not have a night vision feature but it does allow you to adjust the EV value. This essentially brightens up the image so setting it to the highest setting at night will yield a clearer picture for those overnight videos. You can find this EV adjustment in the settings. A: The mirror is larger and you can see more in the rear view. I have this over my 2017 Honda Ridgeline rear view mirror. I like a lot. The display on the mirror can be turn off, which is one nice feature about it. Hope this help.

A: yes it records audio and video no gps it is suppose to do that but mine did not the one I got did not work did not charge despite it being charged for 24 hours a waste of money my suggestion go for something cheaper !
A: battery is for when your car is off, and it the unit goes into 'park mode'. any sudden bumps and g-force activates the unit using its battery and start recording. the unit needs to be plugged in at all times during normal driving, for it to record.
A: the power supply is simple for the park mode monitoring. to use the dashcam on a normal drive, you will need to plug it into a power source. park mode puts your dashcam on low battery use, and monitors any bumps or force exerted on your vehicle, and when it senses it, the dashcam automatically records using the built in battery that you charged, while the dashcam is plugged in during normal driving.
