That is the unusual part: a relay rack is accessible from both faces, and this shelf uses both rather than committing the U space to one side. Each shelf extends 15 inches and is 8.7 inches deep, carrying 20 lbs per side for 40 lbs in total. It suits laptops, AV equipment and small networking gear that needs to be reachable rather than permanently racked. It fits standard 19in EIA 2Post racks with 3in side channels and works with square, round or threaded holes.

The RackSolutions 1U Light Duty Fixed Shelf holds the equipment in a rack that has no rack ears: server towers, printers, desktop PCs and similar.
