A: Hi jimjam! The HW-S50A requires an HDMI ARC or Digital Optical Audio connection to connect to. If your TV supports it, you can also take advantage of Bluetooth wireless audio technology. Check the back of your TV or consult the manual if needed to determine if your existing Samsung TV supports one of these three audio connections. ^Tim
A: Hi VikB! The HW-S50A is a 140W soundbar. You can add the SWA-W500 should you feel you need more bass than the built in woofers can provide. ^Tim
Q: Can you connect this to a playstaion 5?
A: Hi Amari! The HW-S50A does not feature an HDMI input allowing you to connect an external HDMI device direct to the soundbar. You will need to first connect the device to the TV, then connect the soundbar to the TV to receive the audio. The HW-S50A is also compatible with Bluetooth wireless audio technology for additional ways to connect. ^Tim
Q: Does the HW-S50A have to be mounted on a wall? I want to set it on a mantel below the tv in a RV.
A: Hi Lee! The HW-S50A can be placed on a mantel in front or below the TV providing optimal sound quality. You do not need to wall mount this model for optimal sound. ^Tim
Q: Using digital optical cables and tv remote will not work to control volume
A: Hi Snoopy! TV remotes have to be enabled on your soundbar. By default, Samsung TV remotes are enabled on your soundbar. If it isn't working, be sure the soundbar is powered on, then press and hold the WOOFER button. Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the following order: “Off-TV Remote” (Default mode), “Samsung-TV Remote”, “All-TV Remote”. ^Tim
