  I’ve been riding the Segway G3 Max for just under three weeks now, and it has genuinely transformed my daily routine. Whether it’s commuting to work, quick errands, or casual weekend rides, this scooter delivers performance, comfort, and reliability far beyond what I expected. Performance & Speed The G3 Max offers solid acceleration and handles inclines with ease thanks to its powerful motor. I’ve consistently hit its top speed (around 23–25 mph) without it feeling unstable. It’s quick enough to keep pace with urban traffic while staying safe and manageable. Battery Life One of the highlights is definitely the long-range battery. I’ve only needed to charge it a couple of times in these 20 days — it easily covers my daily usage without worry. Segway’s claim of 40+ miles per charge is accurate, especially if you’re riding in eco or standard modes. Ride Quality The ride is smooth and stable, even over rougher pavement. The 10" tires do a great job absorbing small bumps. The wider deck gives a secure stance, and the brakes (both electronic and disc) are responsive and reassuring. App Integration The Segway-Ninebot app is a nice bonus. I can lock the scooter, track mileage, change speed modes, and check diagnostics all from my phone. It adds a smart layer to the experience.   After zipping around on the Segway Max G3 for over 100 miles in just 20 days, I’ve got plenty to say about this electric scooter. Spoiler alert: it’s a blast to ride, but it’s not without its flaws. The Good: Speed, Build, and Fun Factor This bad boy is a quality-built machine that feels sturdy and screams “I’m ready to roll!” With a top speed of 28 mph (thanks to its 800w motor, peaking at 2000W), it’s no slouch. It’s not going to keep up with the likes of the Inmotion RS or Kaabo Wolf GT—those are the twin-turbo Lambos of the scooter world—but the Max G3 is like trading in your Prius for a Porsche Cayman. It’s fast enough to make you grin like a kid on a sugar high, especially when you’re weaving through traffic or cruising to the gym. The dual spring suspension is a dream, soaking up bumps like a champ. I’m 6 feet tall, 240 lbs, and I haven’t bottomed out once, even on rough city streets. The 10-inch pneumatic tires provide solid stability and decent traction, whether you’re dodging road grit, tackling light rain, or (less successfully) venturing onto grass. The deck is grippy and sleek, though I wish it were a tad wider for my big feet—guess I’ll just have to perfect my scooter ballet stance. The app is a nice touch, offering a plethora of customization options, from speed settings to lighting effects. My old Segway Max G30 had a larger battery, and the difference is noticeable on longer rides. Rumor has it an extended battery is coming this summer—fingers crossed it doesn’t eat up precious deck space. The brakes are another sore spot. The mechanical disc brakes work, but they’re rough around the edges, especially at speeds over 20 mph. After some grime builds up, they screech like a banshee auditioning for a metal band. Hydraulic brakes would’ve been a game-changer, but at this price point (around $900-$1000), I guess we’re stuck with the budget option. The front light is bright enough for casual night rides, but its throw is underwhelming at 28 mph. Fun-seekers: Want to feel like a kid again, zipping around the neighborhood? The G3 delivers that joyride vibe. City slickers: Its compact size and grippy tires make it ideal for urban jungles. It’s not for long-distance warriors or folks who need top-tier brakes and lights out of the box. If you’re riding 20+ miles daily, look elsewhere—or wait for that extended battery. Final Thoughts The Segway Max G3 is a zippy, well-built scooter that’s an absolute blast for short to medium rides. Its speed, suspension, and app features make it a standout, but the battery life and brakes keep it from scooter superstardom. For the price, it’s a solid deal, especially if you’re after a fun, reliable ride to spice up your daily commute or weekend adventures. Pro tip: Wear a helmet and maybe some gloves—this thing’s faster than your average skateboard, and road rash is no a good look.
