Q: what is the difference between 65 bravia 8 oled and bravia xr8b oled
A: Hi doug1, The BRAVIA 8 OLED and the BRAVIA XR8B OLED are essentially the same core TV, sharing the same OLED panel, 4K resolution, and XR Processor. The primary differences lie in the included features and promotional bundles: the XR8B is a specialized retailer model that typically does not include the Sony Pictures Core movie credits or the promotional package, and it may lack the XR Contrast Booster software feature present in the standard BRAVIA 8. Visually, the picture quality is designed to be highly similar, making the XR8B a strong value option for those who do not require the extra software or promotional credits. Thanks for choosing Sony. Best regards, Eliab
Q: Is the stand adjustable, if for example I wanted the feet more toward the middle? Thanks
A: Hello JohnnyBravo85, Thank you for your interest in Sony products! We appreciate your question and are here to assist you. The stand for the Sony K-65XR8B TV is adjustable, featuring a narrower position that brings the feet closer together—perfect for smaller furniture. This 4-way stand offers excellent flexibility, allowing you to choose between an outside position, an inside position for compact shelves, or two soundbar positions to suit your viewing preferences. Q: Can you link bluetooth headphones to tv?
A: Hi Mike, Yes, you can absolutely pair Bluetooth headphones to the Sony - BRAVIA XR8B. This capability is possible because the TV supports the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). This is the standardized Bluetooth profile required for streaming high-quality stereo audio from a source device (like your TV) to a receiving device (like your headphones). We hope this helps you enjoy a private, immersive viewing experience and thanks for considering Sony! Regards, Dominick

A: Hi SB, Thank you for your interest in the Sony BRAVIA 8 and XR8B! To clarify, neither of these models feature a QD-OLED panel, both use our premium OLED technology. However, if you're specifically looking for a QD-OLED display, you might want to check out our latest BRAVIA 8 II, which does include that advanced QD-OLED technology. As for which TV is better for watching movies and playing on your PS5, both the BRAVIA 8 and XR8B deliver outstanding performance. They share the same gaming features such as 4K/120fps support, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Dolby Vision for gaming and HDR tone mapping—ensuring a smooth and immersive gaming experience. That said, the BRAVIA 8 includes an XR Contrast Booster, which enhances brightness and depth in darker scenes, giving it a slight edge in overall picture quality, especially for movies. We hope this helps you make the best choice for your setup, and thanks for considering Sony! Regards, Dominick
Q: will the TV connect to my router wirelessly
A: Yes!!
Q: Does this TV work with the Firestick?
A: Yes, it will support firestick.
Q: I intend buying this tv in US for use in Nigeria. Does it operate on dual voltage?
A: Thank you for contacting Sony. Sony televisions manufactured for the U.S. and Canadian markets are officially rated to operate on 120V AC. If you plan to use this model in a country with a different voltage standard, we suggest using a high-quality, grounded power transformer to protect your TV’s internal components. It is also important to note that this model uses the ATSC digital tuner standard for North America. If the local broadcasting system uses a different standard, you will likely need a compatible external set-top box or streaming device to watch local channels. Additionally, please keep in mind that Sony warranties are region-specific, and a television purchased in the U.S. generally carries a warranty valid only within the United States. On my 2nd Sony, first with OLED, and to say I'm impressed with this TV would be an understatement. Out of box it was a bit dim/darker than I like...part of it's initial power saving settings, but a quick adjustment of the gamma and black levels and it's right where I wanted it. Stand is more than high/wide enough for my soundbar and plenty of room for a bigger/longer one if I upgrade that. The picture is beautiful! Even caught myself watching movies and shows I had already seen just to experience them this sharp! The only thing I would change, and it's minor, would be a remote that also has ff/rewind buttons to go forward/back faster or slower, but that's nitpicking as I can still do that at a basic level with this remote. Fantastic picture, excellent price, zero complaints.....and I'm a picky old man!
