Reborn and deeper than ever, the game enables players to immerse themselves in the world and intrigue of Tactics Ogre like never before. The Story: The Valerian Isles, jewels of the Obero Sea. Long a center of naval commerce, the people of the isles struggled throughout history for dominion over her shores. Finally there rose a man to put an end to this conflict: Dorgalua Oberyth. But history would know him as the "Dynast-King." King Dorgalua strove to stamp out the hatred among the people of the isles, and for fully half a century, Valeria knew prosperity. Yet upon the king's death, civil war erupted anew as three factions vied for control: the Bakram, who comprised much of Valeria's nobility; the Galgastani, whose people made up the majority of the isles' population; and the Walister, who numbered but few.

    Great game, not so great packaging.

    The game is excellent, a fantastic remaster of an extremely important flashpoint for the tactical RPG genre. What I mainly want to talk about though is the questionable physical design of modern DVD/Bluray style cases. I received this game with the disc not only loose, but partially jammed through the side of the case itself where it normally opens. This was in spite of the shrink-wrap still being on. Being pressed through the slit in the case like this caused scratches into the disc where the plastic was digging into it. Thankfully, the game still does work, but it took an obscenely long time during the install process and makes me worry about how it will hold up in the future.

    Tactics Ogre Reborn

    Have not actually played this version as of yet but have played the original. Tactics Ogre requires a lot of thought and can be quite the challenge. Sometimes there are at least 30-40 people on the map at once between you and your enemies and it also has the perma-death aspect like Fire Emblem. You've been warned. xD

    A PSP classic returns!

    So if you remember the PSP it was loaded to the brim with JRPGs. This game was one of them. It's similar to the original Final Fantasy Tactics if you ever played that. Or Fire Emblem. You control your chibi like characters around a simi top down helicopter view angel and take down enemy units in great fashion with special attacks and other sorts of ways. It has a wonderful story great music and tons of hours of fun. Fully remastered and upgraded for current gen consoles. But as great as this game is I can't give it 5 stars not because it doesn't deserve it but because best buy decided to cheap out on packing materials and throw this in a very thinly padded envelope and the top right corner of my game case has an indention in it. Is it the end of the world? No, did I pay full price for the game? No I got it on sale. But the fact remains I did pay for it to minty fresh so mishandling it and not properly protecting your product for delivery when you know mail carriers throw things around is a huge error of judgment on your part. And it only makes for dissatisfied customers blowing up your customer service when they don't need to if you had taken the time to ship it the right way from the get go. So I recommend the game but don't recommend Best Buy's shipping of it.
