A: We did research this question before we bought the less-expensive model. Unfortunately we don't remember the difference, but we do remember we felt it was insignificant. In our opinion. The newer model may have a little more wattage, but we don't think that matters much. We decided by the less-expensive model and its worked perfectly. We've owned it at least a year and we use it frequently.
