xTool - F2 5W IR & 15W Diode Portable Dual Laser Engraver

I’ve been using 3D printers for a few years and wanted to try laser engraving, so I picked this up. It’s been a really solid addition to my setup. If you’re used to dialing things in, this is pretty easy to get into. The software is different from slicers, but it didn’t take long to figure out, and I was getting good results on wood and leather pretty quickly. One of the biggest differences is speed. It’s nice being able to go from an idea to something finished in minutes instead of waiting hours like with prints. The size is also a big plus. It doesn’t take up much space, so it fits well alongside other gear without needing a dedicated setup. I’ve mostly been using it for smaller projects and personalized items, but it’s easy to see how it could be used for a small side business as well. Easter swag for friends and I can't wait to engrave some cool things for Halloween! For indoor use, just make sure you have a basic ventilation setup or filtration, which is pretty standard for this type of machine. Overall, if you’re already into 3D printing or making things, this feels like a natural way to expand what you can do.

The xTool F2 is a light weight fowerful engraving tool. It's great for wood, leather and metal engraving. We were hoping that it would engrave or do deep cuts on hard materials but unfortunately this is not the machine for that. But all-in for around $2,000 to get started was well worth it. If you have $7,000+ to spend I would recommend the F2 MOPA and UV models.

Great product but as i became more familiar I realized I needed more capacity so opted for the larger UV option

If you spend some time and get to know the laser it can do anything you want it to do.

This was my 2nd Xtool machine purchase and it's been a great addition to expand my business offerings. Glassware is easy to setup. It's capabilities for color engraving metal leaves a lot to be desired and requires way too much time to fine tune.

Wow what a amazing machine can do so much definitely recommend

Just got the F2 a few days ago. It was easy to setup. The first project I done was oK but as with all lasers there's a learning curve. I started with keychains to ge the feel. The following few Keychains turned out better. I hope to move on to some metal items next: pet tags, jewelry, coins, etc. We will be carrying the F2 with us to markets to have on-sight engraving for personalized and custom items. The F2 makes the 3rd laser I have purchased from xtool so far no complaints. products and services have been a good experience so far. Good luck!

Perfect upgrade from the F1! The upgrades the F2 offer over the F1 make this machine worth it! Absolutely love the camera addition and the upgraded power of the lasers. My customers love watching me engrave their items!
