Yamaha - A-S701 320W 2-Ch. Integrated Amplifier - Silver

Yamaha has really done a nice job with this amp. I'm using it to power a very large pair of speakers that I built. I bought the Marantz first but had to return it because it couldn't get these speakers moving and it cost about 400 more than the Yamaha. I never have it up more than half way and I've already had the cops called on me twice and I live in a house on a corner lot. My neighbor says she can feel the bass in her house. Good clean sound.

Beautiful sounding amp paired with Klipsch sub and Klipsch bookshelf speakers. More power than I needed but I may eventually go up to the Klipsch floor standing speakers with the bigger woofers. Good value, good sound, and plenty of options for inputs and tone controls.

I had to special order this amp. I first went to the Magnolia Audio part of Best Buy and they try to sell me a 7.2 amp with all the features you could think of. I wanted an old school two channel amp and they were not interested in ordering one for me. I had to order thought the regular Best Buy part of the store. I am very happy with this amp. Does not have many features which I like. The best part is that you can add a subwoofer. When I hooked up my subwoofer it sounded amazing. I have had it for a few months now with no problems. Just easy and simple to operate and hook up and made very solid like the amps of the old days. Will probably last forever! :-)
