Solid product
The Sony 50mm f/1.8 is a great budget-friendly prime lens that pairs nicely with my Sony A7C II, offering sharp images, beautiful background blur, and a lightweight design that complements the camera's compact body. While the autofocus is a bit slow and can hunt in low light, especially for video, it performs well enough for portraits and general photography, especially with the A7C II’s excellent eye-AF. It’s not the most premium-feeling lens, but for the price, it delivers impressive image quality and is a solid choice for beginners or anyone looking for an affordable prime.

nice lens
I got this lens probably for the same reason you're looking into it.. its the cheapest lens sony makes. It takes beautiful pictures and is a great beginer lens. The auto focus isn't the fastest, but the quality of picture if youre patient with it is still suburp.
