A: Had a problem getting it to open at first. Just loosened the knob and kept fiddling with it till it got freed up and opened. Think it is just locked down from manufacturing. Works fine now, no more problems.
A: Yes it will. I actually NEED my phone case for it to hold better.
A: The plates have rubber strips on the backside of plates. Turn screw fully counter clockwise till it stops. Jiggle adjustable plate with care. They are probably just stuck from being pressed together by the turn screw. The adjustable plates are precision fitting. Once you get the plates loose to adjust, it will make sense how to fit your phone in. It’s precision so try not to be rough with it.
