60s: Jefferson Airplane [CD]

Jefferson Airplane was an iconic band from the late 1960's with a distinctive sound. Lead singer Grace Slick had one of the truly remarkable voices during the "Summer of Love" era, and the band could rally rock. This album provides a sampling of what they were capable of. "Somebody to Love" starts the album, and is emblematic of the second half of the 1960's. This is followed by "White Rabbit", a haunting melody and beat and which provides one of the truly dynamic vocals by Slick. There are others like "Volunteers" which is often used as a Viet Nam era protest, and many others.

Great collection and once downloaded to iTunes can stay with your collection regardless of devices used over time. As for the music the recording is excellent and have no problems with the disc or case, no damage.

This is another of those "From the Bin" CD's that Best Buy never seems to run out of. It's a good selection of material from the pre-Starship Jefferson Airplane. Many hits from my youth, all in a nicely produced package.

Had lost the vinyl and was glad to get this album back into our collection of music. Highly recommend this album.

Collection of Jefferson Airplanes original hits from the 1960's and 70's. Grace Slick at her best in these original songs. I am a fan of the original Jefferson Airplane.

A nostalgic auditory flashback to the 60s or a great introduction to a great band in their prime! Most of JA's best known and accomplished songs! Recommend!
