A: As the Lenovo rep reported, 4Gbyte is soldered to the board and there is a 4Gbyte SODIMM in the memory slot. I don't care about the warranty, so I removed the 4Gbyte SODIMM and replaced it with a 16Gbyte module (Crucial DDR4-2666 1.2V CL19, CT16G48FRA266). See the images. I don't know if this is the maximum, but 20Gbyte is enough for me. I've had the laptop for 2 weeks now and really like it, especially for the price.

A: Yes. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop, model number 81WE00KVUS, has both internal speakers and a 720p (HD) webcam with manual Privacy Shutter and Dual Array microphone, built in. The IdeaPad 3 15 ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. We always recommend you check the requirements and compatibility of any software you will be installing on your new computer, before you invest in any computer. Be sure your new computer can support the software you will need to use.
A: There is a bay for a 2.5" drive (hard drive or solid state). Other users have reported their computers did not have a drive mounting bracket for this bay, but mine did, and I mounted a 1Tbyte hard drive. However, my drive's ribbon cable was too short to reach the connection on the motherboard. It looks like a ribbon cable about 4 inches long should work, but it will have to twist through 90 degrees, and may have to be routed underneath the battery.
