Hisense - 43" Class QD6 Series Hi-QLED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV (2025)

I purchased this TV for our kitchen to replace an aging 32" Sony from 2005. Things have changed a lot since then, and this 43" Hisense was only one inch greater in height, and four inches greater in width. It was also slimmer, much lighter, and fit into the area where the other TV was wall mounted. HUGE step up in visuals from 1080p to 4K, but the picture quality coming from our cable box which is either 720p or 1080i is also vastly improved. The colors are vivid, the black levels almost match my 2020 LG OLED C1, and the Amazon Fire TV allows us to using all of our streaming apps now. Setting up the picture and sound was simple, and although I was weary of downward firing speakers, the built-in simulated Dolby Atmos fills the entire kitchen with clear sound and vocals. The 60Hz refresh rate is fine with me, because I won't be doing any gaming on this TV. Having Dolby Vision is a plus for the streaming apps that use it. I'd rate this TV somewhere between a mid-range and high-end model. Couldn't beat the price either, it was on sale most of December 2025 and I picked it up about a week before Christmas. The only thing extra I had to do was order a metal plate that converted our 200mm x 200mm wall mount into a 200mm x 300mm to attach to the back of the TV. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this television.
