ASUS - PM700 Desktop - Copilot+ PC - AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 (2025) - 16GB Memory - 1TB SSD Storage - Dark Gray

I purchased this computer for my hubby at a good price during the 4th of July sale and I have to say that I am impressed with it so far. It has some name brand parts, which is more than I can say for his last store bought computer of another brand. Asus has been making computer parts and electronics for a long time. This computer has an Asus motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 7 processor and AMD's Radeon 86M integrated graphics, DDR5 RAM memory, and I was surprised to see that the SSD drive is a Western Digital NVMe. Western Digital has been my favorite hard drive brand over all the years of including mechanical drives in my home built desktops. Integrated Wi-Fi has come a long way and the Asus has not dropped the signal once since we've had it. He's not a gamer and his computer use is not intensive. He checks email, surfs the Web, watches You Tube videos, and downloads updates for his hand held automotive code readers, and this computer is plenty fast enough for all of that. It's small, very lightweight, and boots to Windows 11 quickly. I'm running a freeware temperature monitor on it and it stays cool. I'm also running a freeware disk tool on it to test the status and health of the SSD drive. It's been great so far and I would buy it again.

What possessed me to purchase a desktop is beyond logic. I have a laptop and smartphone so it really was just an impulse buy. That said it was a very good impulsive purchase. Great speed more than adequate storage and great built in programs. Very happy with purchase. It has been over 15 years since I’ve had a desktop so I’m still exploring all the features. Overall great computer.

ASUS PM700 is a light weight compact desktop. It does not provide direct access to Windows 11. It steps you through during the setup. That is something that was disappointing. Microsoft controls every move.

This PC is just what I needed to replace my old HP laptop, which was on its last leg. It's fast, smooth, and far surpasses what I am used to. It has plenty of storage room. It also has plenty of USB ports, as well as an HDMI and Ethernet port. I'm just getting used to Windows 11 after switching from Windows 10. I really don't like Windows 11 so far. Like anything else, I will need to get up to speed. All in all, I simply hope that this one will stay with me for a long time to come. By the way, it works smoothly with my existing Samsung 27-inch monitor.

This PC has caused me so many problems straight out of the box. I have had to take it to the geek squad twice because of these issues and have spent an additional 100$ because of the services. It is likely because it has been sitting on the shelf for so long is what the agent told me so be careful of buying this pc
