While it does an excellent job of diffusing reflections compared to standard glossy screens, it may still show some mild reflections in highly lit environments or rooms with direct outside light. If minimizing reflections and achieving deep blacks is a top priority for your space, you may want to consider the BRAVIA 9 II instead. That model features Sony's advanced Immersive Black Screen Pro technology (available on all sizes except the 115” model), which provides significantly superior reflection handling and glare reduction. However, the TV does not feature legacy analog connections, so you won't find component or composite video inputs on the back. To connect an older device like a VCR, you will just need to use a third-party Composite-to-HDMI or Component-to-HDMI adapter box to bridge the analog equipment to the TV's modern HDMI ports.
