This items is a great way to extend the flash from the camera and bounce the light in different directions than can be done by mounting the flash to the top of the camera.

Without this TTL connector you can't fully leverage the flash or camera technology. The hot shoe connection is simple even for me. Built in diffuser and bounce card are included. If you own a Nikon camera--- don't go off brand on lighting tools!

This cable is a lot better than the Nikon Sc-17 ttl cable. It is better built and has the infared focus built into the cable and not have to use the infared from the flash when using a stroboframe setup. My only wish is ifr you could buy a shorter cable.

There is no hot shoe to connect to my older stroboframe or other older remote holders. I had to remove the hot shoe adapter from the stroboframe and use the screw to connect it (like a tripod connection). Not good when I use some new flashes and some old flashes.
