Fun but Real feeling Christmas Film about Family

I had heard mixed things about this film; either that it was funny or that it was dark and not funny at all. I ordered it anyway because of the cast and set my expectations up for a darker kind of comedy without big laughs. That being said, there were definitely more big laughs than I expected and it felt like a satisfying and worthwhile film. If you're like me and worried that it's one of those dark indie "comedies" with zero laughs, do not fret. It's honest about how messed up our families can be, but that doesn't mean it isn't a fun film.

I was fortunate to see a Robin Williams live performance. He was brilliant, funny, and his energy was electric. It's sad this was one of his last films. The script and plot was his worst enemy. He was also surrounded by average talent at best. I'm a huge fan of Robin Williams. If you find it in a discount bin, then buy it. But you will most likely only watch it once. Rest in peace Robin! We miss you!

Will need to have a movie to watch during Christmas and I wanted something it’s funny and uplifting I don’t need any sand stuff at Christmas time all the characters are outstanding movie is definitely worth watching I have a dog so I have to take him out so it takes me two times at least to watch a movie to see the whole thing without him interrupting me

Bought this as a gift for our oldest daughter (30's) and after I did we happen to catch it on TV. Let me say that it was funny, crude in a few scenes but I just don't think I could watch this with either of our daughters. Good laughs in a few scenes....

One of Williams' last movies, this is about a dysfunctional family getting together for Christmas and the craziness that ensues. It has its moments of hilarity but overall it is just an OK movie. Worth seeing, but not found on any BEST movie lists.

I love Christmas and most Christmas movies and TV shows. I tried very hard to like this and I thought it was OK. It did have some funny moments but I mainly give it the extra star because of Robin Williams and it was one of his last movies.

Robin Williams last movie. Movie had a good story about a dysfunctional family spending the holiday together. Wasn't as funny as I thought it would be but still a good comedy and worth watching.

Knowing that Robin Williams was starring in this, I thought it would be really funny. But I was disappointed in the movie. Definitely not Robin's best, but the story itself was the problem.
